MacFarlane’s Company - 1700s Re-Enactors from North America at the Township

Traditional Crafts at the TownshipThatching; Pole Lathe; Rope making


9th 10th 11th July


A day in the life of a Township - visit our 1700s Township and see how people cooked and made clothes – you might even find a redcoat soldier billeted there!!


16th 17th 18th July



Spinning, Dyeing & weaving - spinning and Dyeing at the Highland Cottage, Spinning on drop spindle and Weaving at the Township, Luaidh (Waulking the Cloth), Weaving at the Tweed Cottage


23rd 24th 25th July



Wonderful Wood  - Countryside Ranger building a home for small creatures,  Joiners workshop, Pole Lathe at the  Township


30th 31st July 1st August



Traditional Music  - Learn to Ceilidh dance!!, Roots and Flutes  Bob Pegg visits us again, Learn to play the Clarsach with Bill Taylor


6th 7th 8th  August


1700s Traditional Leatherworking - Creating period leather items at the Township


12th 13th 14th 15th August



Hands-on Sculpture in the Pinewoods - All week, join in with our resident sculptor, Kevin Blackwell, creating objects and sculptures from natural materials in our Pinewoods.


20st 21st 22nd August


Traditional Music - Learn to Ceilidh dance!! , Badenoch Fiddlers


8th 9th 10th October



Township Event - Redcoats, camp followers, cooking on open fires, woodworking on the pole lathe, boiling spinning and weaving – it’s all happening at our 1700s Township

Traditional Music - Learn to Ceilidh dance!! Roots and Flutes with Bob Pegg
