A day in the life of a Township - visit our 1700s Township and see how people cooked and made clothes. A redcoat soldier has taken up residence and the locals are not happy! Come along and help him search for Jacobite supporters……..
22nd - 24th July
Pictish Encampment – Meet our Pictish warriors, learn about their life and times and the weapons used in battle. Come along and join the tribe!
Traditional Tree Trail – part of RSPB’s Tree Fest – follow our tree trail to find out how wood was used in the Highlands.
29th - 31st July
The Legend of Gilder Roy – Beware the famous Scottish highwayman, Gilder Roy has been spotted at the museum (but not captured yet!) Help the Redcoat soldier track down this master of disguise.
Cairngorm Ceilidh Trail – traditional Ceilidh music from 12.30 – 5.00pm
5th - 7th August
Leatherworking at the Township – try your hand at traditional leatherworking skills (Small charge applies)
12th - 14th August
Traditional Music - Learn to Ceilidh dance on Weds & Thurs. Try your hand at the Clarsach on Tuesday.
The Nature Loom – Mixing craft inside and out! Using sticks, fabric, yarn and all the outdoor nature we can find to create beautiful artwork. Age 8 – 12 years Prices and booking on www.highlifehighland.com/summer
